Child Passenger Safety

Station 1 is a permanent CPS checking station. Come by Monday-Thursday from 8AM-6PM or call 910-842-2333 to schedule a time to have your car seat checked.

Smoke Alarms: What You Need to Know

  • Smoke detectors should be installed on every level of the home, in every sleeping room, and outside each sleeping area
  • Your smoke alarms should be tested at least once a month
  • If a smoke alarm sounds, get outside and call 911. Have home escape plan and discuss it with everyone in your household
  • A smoke alarm should be replaced if it is 10 years old
